Arts Teacher Support

The South Carolina Arts Commission offers the Arts Teacher Grant. This grant supports innovation in arts classrooms by helping arts teachers acquire supplies, materials, professional development, and tools/expertise.

Application Deadline

Apply by first Monday of each month (second Monday of January 2022)
Application Period: August 5, 2021-March 7, 2022.


Up to $3,000 per year

ABC Advancement Grant

The purpose of this South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC) grant is to support ABC Certified Schools in their commitment to implementing standards-based arts curricula and to making the arts an integral part of the basic curriculum and daily classroom instruction.

Application Deadline

The application deadline for FY22 funding has passed. Information about FY23 funding is scheduled for release in Spring 2022.

One Stop Workshop

One Stop Workshop Logo

The One Stop Workshop is a free, conference app for SC teachers. A collaborative effort with Palmetto State Arts Education (PSAE), this virtual platform offers a “one-stop” source for professional learning on arts in education, offering content for both educators interested in arts integration as well as discipline-specific arts specialists.

The SC Department of Education (SCDE) offers the Instruction Hub, a Learning Object Repository (LOR) platform to provide more resources for lesson planning, student learning, exemplary teaching strategies, and professional opportunities across our state.

KnowItAll features a wide assortment of over 9,000 media assets and lesson plans, created by South Carolina ETV with a variety of partners for Pre-K to 12. The content has been optimized for tablets and mobile devices for one-to-one learning.

Call for Arts and Arts Integration Content!

As part of the Arts Grow SC plan, ABC Institute has been asked to collect content for teaching and learning resources in arts and arts integration education for multiple media platforms. Teachers are eligible to receive a stipend for creating new arts or arts integration virtual content that can uploaded to one or more of the platforms listed above.

The SC Arts Directory is an extensive directory of artists, arts organizations, and teaching artists across many disciplines who work throughout South Carolina. It serves as a connector for artists, organizations, schools, and communities and allows users to find who they are looking for in multiple ways: search, artistic discipline, geographic availability, or Certified Teaching Artists.
