Arts Grow Be Great Academy
Arts Grow Be Great Academy (AGBGA) pilot program will be held at Saluda Middle School in Saluda, SC. This arts focused afterschool program will provide 45 6th-8th graders the opportunity to participate in a wide range of hands on arts activities and artist residencies. Each activity is designed to not only meet state art education standards but will be connected to an academic standard as well, creating a fully Art Integrated learning environment.
GOAL: To address learning loss and support academic growth using arts integration in an after school environment.
OBJECTIVE: Arts Grow Be Great Academy empower students to take an active role in their academic success through a fully arts integrated afterschool program. While providing a vital service to families, AGBGA will provide arts enrichment opportunities that are closely aligned with academic standards to create a program that fosters creativity, introduces new arts forms & techniques, and addresses student/school academic needs.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Crescent Region will track student achievement, test scores, attendance in addition to over all Club experience as measured through our annual National Youth Outcome Initiative survey.
